Fancy dancing your way into the Guinness Book of Records?
We got a message through to our inbox today about a chance to be part of a Guinness World Record- so here's your open invitation. All I know is what's on this email, but if you're interested in taking part drop her an email and i'm sure she'll tell you more...
Here's what it's all about:
To celebrate this years’ Festival of Learning we are trying to organise a World Record for the number of people participating in a Salsa class. The current record is 7,774, we are trying to attempt 8,000 participants. We will be working across the Yorkshire & the Humber regions to create interest to make this attempt a Guinness World Record.
We are still trying to finalise venues in Leeds, Sheffield, York and Hull, but I know how busy and tight schedules you may have. We are hoping to involve as many dancing schools as possible from across the region and to involve television and local radio stations
in a roadshow event.
The date of the record attempt is Saturday 24th October 2009. If you're interested in joining the Salsa session, or to the other events we are running during the day then don't hesitate to contact me.
Look forward to hearing from you
