Make your own kind of music....

Feeling a little like some dancesport tracks vaguely resemble something you'd find on the demo of a keyboard? Well yes, this is the opinion I have of a lot of dancesport's music collection. In lessons, Joel brings his own CDs which are much better, but in that last hour of Saturday practice we're left only with what Dancesport pieced together from scrap CDs that I know for a fact are more than 2 years old- and possibly further back than that.

So.

We've (the dancesport committee) have given ourselves a budget for new music tracks. It's massive (music-wise) at £50 (though that includes blank CDs for taking things from one place to another) but what it all means is that we're on the lookout for new music to add to our soon-to-be respectable music catalogue. Joel warns us that there's little new music even on the competition scene right now which'll be a problem, but we're seeing what we can find.

For some fun, there's a forum (yes, the dancesport website has a forum!) where you can suggest some tracks. This may be a good time for you to become a member of the dancesport website. You don't need to be a member of Dancesport to do this, anyone can become a member. I thought i'd advertise it in a blog as there's a much bigger chance that you'll see it this way...depending on how read these blog posts are.

So go nuts!
