First Practice

Last night went really well! Everyone looked to be enjoying themselves, and it was a brilliant first practice - people ended up all over the floor, in the air, and running around all over the place. No casualties were reported though, so we are SAFE!!

It was such a great atmosphere in there - everyone helping each other out. The tracks all sounded brilliant, even our Transylvanian singer! Must say that Gruff and Abi Fenton looked particularly lovely (and fierce competition) - must try not to sabotage with too many bumps into them next week!! ;)

I'm so proud of Ollie for taking all the steps in, and remaining massively enthusiastic, despite some verbal bitch-slaps, and unlady-like behaviour (on my part.) I can't wait for the next session!

This routine thing...

So, having seen the short clip of Jamie and me dancing, I'm quite happy with the look of all the basic moves, but having thrown him in at the deep end, I'm sure we're going to have to do a lot of work in synchronising some of the crazy things I'm asking Jamie to do with me!

Be prepared for a spectacular show - if he drops me, there will be some very amusing expressions. If he holds on to me and we time it right, it's going to look fabulous!

I'm sooo pleased with Jamie's cooperation iand hard work n everything - I mean, he even took time out of his crazy schedule to have a lesson with Joel, and has met up with me a good few times when I'm sure he had much better things to be getting on with.

It's great getting to know him, and finding out about his role within YUSU - he's a hard-working boy, I'll give him that! And the fact that he does it all with a smile just makes me think he's even more fab - gotta smile for the jive, even when you want to grimace in pain/exhaustion!
